Actually we were originally going to do a flip down plate. But once the diffuser plate was made.. it went out the window. So i decided that if im just rolling around.. i would throw it in the back window. But odds are I'll just keep it in the car, and if i get nicked... well... worst case is a ticket.

You'll have to throw a post up when you get it out to Gratton. It'd give me the excuse I did to get mine out there for some fun.
you are more than welcome to come up to the shop anytime.... Also whenever im in town... stop by Dowg Dowgs on Wilson just south of 28th st. It will be there every weekend. Thats were 75-200 cars meet up on Fri and Sat nights. Lots of cool cars, (mostly) cool people, and if you can stay up late... there is always a cruise to Joes Pizza on Division.

Here's a pretty cool thing we did with the exhaust tunnel.
This is some gold foil we are also using under the hood reflect the heat coming from the turbo's(a mix of Carbon fiber and gold foil). I think it looks sick in the exhaust tunnel. Obviously this photo won't do it justice... but you can get a pretty good idea. It reflects up to 78% of all radiant heat with continuous operation temps of 450 centigrade. Here's a link to the product. It runs about $25 a sq ft. http://www.crracing.com/racing_perfo...flective.shtml

As for the rest of the car... we are just finishing up with the wiring. Tomorrow the front end will get put back together.. the exhaust gets re mounted.. and we will start running the power stearing lines, and the heater hoses. Its getting real close now......

Sounds like a plan. I'm guessing that Dowg Dowgs is done for the season? I'm not real familiar with that end of town, but I'm sure I can find the place.

Do you know your booth # for SEMA. If not I'll keep my eyes open for your car and try and swing by and say hi. I thought I read that Iforged is receiving your car for you so I'll assume that means it is going to be in there booth.

One of my good buddies is a concierge for MGM. He can normally get the super hook up(free / buy 1 get 1 free bottle service) for me when I come to Vegas. If enough car guys are interested in getting some drinks and bull ****ting I can see what he can arrange. I'll be in town Oct. 30th - Nov. 6th.

Im not sure what the booth number is.. but its the IForged booth.

Here's another update. It is getting real close. Soon I will be able to get some nice interior shots.

My 10 year old daughter came by the shop today and was welding up her own project. Pretty cool.

Nice car man. Your daughter gives me hope, maybe I can actually learn to weld at 28.

Nice project!!

I L O V E the pix of the daughter...

My daughter loves to come help me in the shed... my son could care less...
Had it not been for my daughters help - I'd have never gotten my lift put together -- (they'd sent me the wrong arms and try as I might I couldn't figure it out...) SHE figured it out! DOH!

Well.... MANY fun hours at the shop the last couple weeks.
The Engine is done and buttoned up. She runs on her base tune..... can't wait to really start running her.
Today the gaps got re-aligned and the doors, trunk, ect were installed. Unfortunately i didn't get any pictures of that. We have some nice ones on the shop camera... but they are to big to upload.
So you'll have to deal with the Blackberry pics from yesterday. lol.
98% of the car is wired up. We are just waiting for my guy to foam and suede the center consul then we can finish the last 2%(window switches and heater controls)
here is a couple pics of her after she DROVE from one end of the shop to the other.
Only 10 more days before she gets shipped out to Vegas. The stripes are going on tomorrow...
