Question Buick Grand National manual transmission swap

Was wondering if anyone out there knows if this is possible. I may be getting my hands on an 87 GN and thinking about trying to convert it to a 5 spd tremec, I know the clutch pedal would have to be fabricated but not sure I could even get a flywheel for the 3.8 v6. Any ideas?

Do some reading over on turbobuicks.com... manual swaps have been done in both the GN and also the Turbo Trans Am.

General consensus is all parties were less than impressed. Much slower overall response and "feel" as the 3.8 isn't the fastest spooling engine in the world.

Also, there can be some thrust bearing issues with the 3.8's and the added pressure of a clutch against the thrust bearing only makes that matter worse.
