do yourself and your 6 year old a favor; dont buy any aftermarket column thats not collapsible. theres a reason all the late 60's cars were required to have them, and the aftermarket shouldnt be getting away with it. ididit came out with a VERY nice collapsible column this year (didnt make it in time for their catalog), and it only adds $100 to the total. i think your chest and mine are worth it.

btw, a collapsible intermediate shaft, although nice, is nowhere near the same. it wont help when you hit the column, only when the steering box is pushed towards you.

maybe they can cover the collapsible in the carbon wrap?????
