I got my new phone yesterday. It's a BlacBerry Curve 8520. It is Wi-Fi ready and now I can talk in my house through my wireless router. We live between three cell towers right in the dead zone and used to have to go out in the driveway to get signal. Now I can talk on it from anywhere in my house and it is just as clear as a land line (if not better). We ditched the home phone a long time ago. Why pay for phone service when 90% of the calls were from solicitors wanting to sell me crap?

I can also check my email and surf the web from anywhere there is standard or Wi Fi signal. This may be old hat for a lot of you but I have always had just basic cell phones and this is a big step up for me. And since I am a total text whore this phone is nice bacause now i can text faster and easier.

I will be sure and keep this one out of the toilet.

this time make sure you back everything up when ever you get a chance! thats why I love my IPhone. I just sync it up to my computer every day or two and then if I get pissed at it i can feel free to throw it in the ocean and go get another and not loose a single thing! good luck with the curve!
