All the big ones had to start somewhere, it would be cool to get in on it in the early stages. Who knows, I have a perfectly roadworthy car now that might be completely torn apart by then...LOL

As far as the "big ones" go, this has gotten bigger both years, and from the early returns this year, it already has more interest than both the past trips, so who knows how far this thing will go in the future. the first year I really whored it out on quite a few forums, last year I cut back a little, and this year I only posted it on a couple of forums including this one. after the first two trips, it now gets plenty "word of mouth" interest from past participants so I don't have to try as hard anymore. Honestly though, if it grows this year as much as it did last year, I will have to enlist some people to help me next year, but I guess that's a good problem to have, right?

I hear ya about possibly tearing stuff apart, I'd like to take my Camaro again, but last year it sucked on gas and I only got around 8+ MPG for an almost 900 mile round trip. This year I want to at least change my gears (from 3:73 to 3:42) to help a little, or ideally get around to putting in my 700R4 that's been kicking around for over a year now. At least if I don't get to either thing, I always have my GTO that can bang out over 20 MPG all day long

didn't you upset enough people with "fast" cars last year, when they couldn't figure out why they were getting dusted by a "stock" Vette?

Well, we got back on Monday the 4th and for the third year in a row, the trip went great.

People started arriving at Comp Specialties on Saturday morning at around 9AM and Pete Newell was there to greet everyone with coffee and donuts. After people got to check out his latest projects we hit the road. The trip was around eight to nine hundred miles round trip.

There were a few breakdowns, but nothing that had anyone going on a trailer. The only real bump in the road was at the hotel on Sunday morning. We were trying to get a shot of all the cars, but before we could totally set-up the hotel manager got pissed from all the burnouts so he called the cops. We took off before they got there but I guess a local and two staties showed up

The midday stop, on Sunday, at the Northeast Classic Car Museum was pretty cool. The Adirondacks were starting to show some great color and we couldn't have asked for better roads to cruise along (a good amount of twisties).

All said and done, it was some great cruising, great weather, great sites, with great people for the entire weekend.

There are plenty of pics on the Rod Run's Facebook page, with many more to come and I still have to update the website. If I get some time soon, I'll try to post up some pics on here.

Next year..... cruising through New England and Bar Harbor, ME will be one of the highlights. Maybe next year we'll have a few more local people from Lateral-G.

Well, with only about a week and a half to go before we kickoff, it looks like we should have over 30 cars this year.

A few people still don't have their cars ready yet (myself included), but everyone is confident that they will be all set come that Saturday.

Now all that is left, is to hope for good weather and for everyone's cars to run well
