70rs, the tear down of the car ( I'm the original owner ) is going painfully slow, partly due to my health, partly due to the garage being unheated!

The interior is nearly all out, just have to remove the heater / ac box, some wiring, and steering column. Drivetrain is out except the original 3:73 posi ten bolt. Front subframe and fenders will come off as soon as I trial fit the big block & T56 combo for any interference.

All new suspension from Speedtech, SC&C, Hotchkis, Pro-Touring F Body. Brakes are Hydratech with C5 calipers and LS discs out back. T56 is a new LT1 ( that I picked a few years back ) behind a Spec Stage 3+ clutch and Fidanza flywheel.

With some hard work and a bit of luck, it'll be in the paint / body shop this Summer.

Hope to keep the car basically stock looking with the exception of the Goodmark cowl hood and Rushforth Concept II wheels. Tough to hide that.

John
Sounds like a great plan John. I am looking forward to lot's of pictures of the build (uh, get your camera warmed up please ).
I am in kind of the same boat right now, some health (shoulders) and logistics are keeping me from doing much for the next month or two but I should be able to get back on it soon.

There was no place to pick LSx with Carb...oh well.

6.0L LQ4, stock bottom end
Ported LS6 243 heads (320cfm @ .600)
Big cam (238 @ .050, .600 lift)
Single plane Vic Jr
850cfm carb
150 N20 plate

Should be fun 'til it pops. Then I will build a forged 408.

PS, HI Eric, havnt heard from you since the surgery, hope all is well.

Shouldnt stop you from hanging out in my garage drinking some beers while I put my motor back together. Waiting for a few checks to come in, then it's a shopping spree at summit!

I figure either people will love it or hate it, personally im kinda in the middle. I grew up with family members that loved hotrods but I am young so the whole rice rocket thing was cool at one point. I figured what the hell! the best part will be when I chop the front end off and convert the thing to AWD. Should be a one of a kind car, what do you think? 69 AWD Chevelle with an RB26?
