Adding an intercooler will help with a supercharger just as well as it will with a turbo when the air inlet temps get to hot. More heat expands the air, less oxygen, more chance of detonation, engine damage etc. Also consider air to air. Less chance of problems with fewer parts. You can also add meth injection under boost. A friend of mine runs an LS 3 that makes over 800hp to the wheels and has air to air plus meth and can run 17lbs of boost with a YSI on pump gas.
