Excuse my ignorance, but what is the benefit of a narrowed rear end? Related to mini tubs? Reason I ask is I have a stock body 69 running the Prodigy Bar with my stock 12 bolt. Maybe looking for an upgrade to save my original 12 bolt from some abuse.

Basicly just allows for a deeper dish wheel. With DSE mini tubs, I was planning on running an 18x12 wheel with 335/35/18 tires and a 6" backspace. If you like the Deep dish look it's the way to go, if you like the modern Vette/Viper look a wider setup is the way to go.

With a stock body you'ld probably be looking at something like a 275 on a 10" wide rim with a 4" backspace. Someone like Frank at Prodigy would probably know what would fit on.

Thanks, Matt

Well, I am running an 18x10 rear rim currently with a 5 5/8" backspace. I wonder if they would still fit with this rear end??

I've heard of people runing a wide spacer to fit on high offset wheels, so they must be available somewhere. Something like a 2" wide wheel adapter. Not sure if you'ld want to use a setup like that for track use. Or have Fiske rehoop your wheels for a deep look if you like the look (nice car by the way )

FYI for someone looking to ship its not as bad as you think. I have shipped several axles for 250.00 and less.
