There is also the possibility that you won't have any problems at all. Despite going to a floater setup in the near future, Steve doesn't have any issues with Bad Penny, and it's running manual brakes, tapered barings, and fixed calipers.

Yes, and since we've got these installed now already, no point in not checking out to see how it plays out. Like you said - I could be okay. Stranger things have happened. And then I can rub it in Todd's face.
