I had a bad vibration after an t56 swap I did in my 67. I checked everything.....drive line angle, drive shaft, wheels, everything. I was using solid body mounts, with an 8pt cage, and a brand new performance trans mount. for some reason all that acted like a big tuning fork and once i swapped out the hard trans mount for a "stock replacement" my vibration went away. Not even a hint in the shifter. Its a pain but you'll get it. good luck.
^^ is the direction I would take. Maybe there's nothing "wrong", just too much unforgiving mounting of stuff and everything is transmitted into the pass. compartment.
All cars have vibrations in them, it's all how they are controlled really. If you look at a modern car they do all kinds of things, specific rubber compounds in the mounts, mass dampers hung off of all kinds of things and so on.
How bad is the vibration? Does the mirror just buzz or can you feel it in the seat, steering, floor boards, shifter, etc.?

I was going to mention mounts, but also check to see if you have any bent rims...if it is on the back then you will feel it in the car as there is no other path to the driver. With the front you can get immediate response from the steering wheel.
Good luck....you're already making me regret putting PST engine and trans mounts in my car...haha.
You'll figure it out....you're just in the PITA phase now.

Thanks for the help guys...yea I'm going to see if the mounts do help...I know I have some solid mounts...so if this is the prob...I'm just going to laugh at my dumb ass...lol...
my brother in law put an LT1 and T 56 with out raising the trans tunnel and had a bad vibration due to driveline angle. He had a cv driveshaft built and the vibration went away. Similar to this http://jeep.off-road.com/jeep/news/n...ods-35142.html
