i know that for stock wheel wells, to fit an 18x10 with a 295 you need 5.75 inches back spacing. that's what i have on my car. since then i've mini-tubbed it, and now there is a ton of space between the inside of the wheel and the tub.

if you're mini-tubbed, then you can get away with 5.5 since the wheel tub isnt a limiting factor.
