Purdy...I agree on the wheels with the same question; are they going to stay matte? Cuz' it would be cool if they did

Oh yeah, the wheels are definitely not chromed. I'm trying the whole black & satin metal finish throughout, wherever I can. I'm trying to decide now on the windshield & back glass trim, mirrors, and rear bumper - either going to scuff them with fine steel wool for the muted finish, or powdercoat... I hope to start it up for the first time in the next month or so and then it's a trip into bodywork hell...

Tom, a suggestion to "satinize" the shiny stuff: a white (ultra fine) scotchbrite pad typically works wonders!

If it doesn't provide enough "grain", try a red scotchbrite pad.
