Hey Chris - been reading about your accident and recovery. Honestly makes me cringe a bit, but you have a great attitude about it! Well wishes sent for a speedy and complete recovery...

Chris....you've been in my thoughts a lot. Glad to hear that things are progressing in a positive direction. We sure do take some of the things in life for granted....like eyesight. Can't wait to see more on the car here too. These things are also a reminder not to miss out on any of the fun in life. Hang in there my friend...things are going to get better.

oh.......did I mention the 77mm Garrett turbo and methanol injection?
886 hp at the rear wheels, 1064 at the flywheel (calculated)@5500 rpm, before the methanol injection was added. Thank you Mark L...

Hi all,
Sorry for the long delay here and thank you for all the thought and prayers. Things are going as good as can be expected. The last doctors appointment they lifted my weight restrictions and such so I have been spending every available second trying to get caught up on the house project!
So as far as the eye goes the best news is the retina is fully attached and healing nicely. The bad news is that some time after the second surgery a small bleed happened in the eye and that opacified (sp?) the man made lens the doctors put in as part of the second surgery. So that means that they will have to go in and clean the lens for me to be able to see.
So right now I have very little vision out of that eye but I am hopeful that once the lens is clean I will be good to go! I can see light and movement but that is about all. To give you an idea how cloudy the lens is from the bleeder, the doc couldn't even see through parts of it with his BRIGHT light and scopes! He could see part of the retina but he had to send me to ultrasound to make 100% sure the whole retina was attached.
We have an appointment October 7th to hopefully get some stitches out and get the lens cleaned. I will keep everyone posted.
Thanks again,
Chris
