Killer build! The level of fabrication is unreal.

Are you using ABS? I think Stielow said something in the past about carbon brakes without ABS...that it can lead to spontaneous brake lock-up. :curious:

Their is plans for ABS in the future.. but @ this time we will run it without..

Wilwood has their own formula of carbon ceramic rotors.. they don't have to run carbon cermaic brake pads.. They can run different pads compounds that can provide differnt co-officent of friction.. They have been in testing now for about a year on a 25'000 lbs military H1 or 2..

The owner has been asking me.. When the hell you gonna paint the damm car! It is a "Race Car"... It doesn't need to be perfect... My answer.. is the car will only be as perfect as I can get it only once in its life time.. After that you can thrash on it all you want.. I gotta thank the owner for letting me go above & beyond from what the project started as..

The car will be painted late next week.. My crew has been on 12 hr shifts & have agreed to come in & work this Labor Day weekend.. will be BBQ for them all weekend!!

It has been a pain in the ass to get the grill to fit the I want it cause of all the components not fitting that great.. then I remembered that it didn't even fit this nice from the factory.. We had to cut & splice the head light buckets for the headlights to fit centered on the trim.. I got the headlights from Headwinds.. Thanks Eric!

I'm glad they worked out for this project. I will use the same set up on mine.

Default C6 Hubs

The one thing that has always driven me nuts is when you have metric studs on the front with the C6 hubs & 1/2-20 studs on the rear for 9 inch Ford.. Sent these out to the machine shop to re-drill for srcew in studs.. Now I can run 3 inch studs on all four corners with Trans Am open lug nuts..

Concentric within .001 & we build a fixture for us to convert the rest of them here @ the shop..

I got the A/C compressor adaptor block from my machinist today.. he made them out of stainless & aluminum.. options for which one will be easier to make.. Notice that the service port fittings are threaded to mount on top..

getting ready to send all machined parts out to hard anodize..

Schaa-wing! Love those machined parts Cris! I'd p-coat 'em clear and call it done.

Also admire the floor bracing under the tunnel that the subfr connectors run through. Combined w the vert brace is one slick set up. Nice job all around Boss...
