The car looks pretty nice. You can't stop in and not give us some more details. Are you going to do black Eliminator stripes?
What wheels are you going to run?
What size tires?
Let's hear some more details on your motor. Edelbrock heads and rpm intake? What cam and compression?

Maybe you should just go with a TKO or a T56 6 speed. Quicktime makes a bell for either behind your FE and they are available and proven.

Since you are running leafs some caltracs out back will help her hook up and won't kill the corner carving.

Ok,so lets the engine first.
Eagle crank and rods, stud girdle to make the bottom end more stronger,
Compression around 11,5:1
Edelbrock Performer RPM ported heads with 2.19 intake and 1.75 exhaust valves
Performer RPM intake with Ultra 750 double pumper Holley
Harland sharp rockers
Comp Magnum 292 H solid lifter cam
Hooker Super Comp 6114 headers
MSD ready to run distributor
Canton oil pan
Original 428CJ Ram Air cleaner on top with K&N filter

I have already ordered the Keisler RS600 8 months ago and put $1500 deposit so I think I have to stay with this tranny. They promised that it will be ready to ship at the end of may. Will see, I hope the best...

Yes I will use all the Eliminator stripes.
As far as for the wheels I did not decided yet. I have changed my mind many times about the look of the car. I am very interested now on the pro-touring style so I can imagine that she will get some Pro-Tourer wheels.
Tire will be 285 on the back on 17" or 18" wheels, 245 or 255 on the front on 17" wheels.

I am thinking on selling the rollerized factory style front control arms with the Bilstein shocks and go with coil over set up. Also coil over to the rear replace the leafs.
I have seen that Total Control Products has good products for reasonable prices.
I will continue this thread or open an other one on the proper place as I have any more progress.

Just one more thing about the engine. If this 428CJ will not be strong enough I have a '70 429CJ 4 bolt block with a pair of Ford Racing Aluminum SCJ heads ready to build and stroke it to 5xx

Noooooooooo Keep the FE it weighs way less than that 385 series motor. If you want more hp grab a Pond, Shelby or Genisis 427 block and a 4.375 crank for a 500ci FE. You can get to 700hp with the heads you have if the pot job is done right,

That CJ should work unless you get more radical with the suspension.

2 FE motors in the same week?!!? Very cool.

Seriously, I'd get your deposit back from Keisler. Go T56 Magnum. Or anything but something from Keisler.

Is there anything bad with RS600?
I give them a chance and wait 1 more month then I get back the deposit.

I think also that this 428 should be enough for now.
I bought that 429CJ engine from a wrecked motorhome. The seller did not know anything about this engine.
When I took apart I was really surprised on what I found.
These 429CJ 4 bolts are pretty rare engines.
According to the Marti report it was in a 71 Non Ram air Torino. What the h... it was doing in a wrecked '79 motorhome in Hungary??

I don't know but it's sad that it no longer sits in its 71 birthplace.

You aren't the only one who ordered and can't get their RS. It could end up being a good product but for now it is unproven and since their delivery is unreliable I would worry about warranty and parts if you ever have a problem.
I may be wrong but I don't think Hungary is the mecca of musclecar parts so going with a proven and more common product like the T56 would benefit you more than someone like myself here in the US.

I look forward to further progress on the second FE of this week

You are absolutely right about the RS.
And yes Hungary is not at all Mecca of musclecar parts
Everything cost me almost double with shipping and tax
