I paid $325 for NOS cowl hood locally, which is about what a repo would cost me with freight.

I paid $400 locally, brand new GM, had sticker on it, in black primer,about about 1998-99,

My experience with the repo hoods is they are too narrow by about a 1/2". I couldn't pull the fenders together close enough to get rid of the large gap. Heartbeat city probably has NOS hoods and would be a good place to look for price. A guess would be at least 700.00 and probably higher.

Second what Charley said, the repro is typically narrower than GM. In addition, the repro hood's "arch", from the front to back, is typically too tight, making the hood's side edges typically higher in profile than the fenders, in the middle, when viewed from the sides...It is possible with creative application of force to "de-arch" the repro hoods..

Anyways...750 would not be a stretch if the hood is real good shape NOS. -R

I was told a dealer in Wa has NOS ones listed for I think he said 899.00

OK, I'll talk to Dad about it. I think he'd be pretty happy with $750, but it's all up to him in the end. Thanks guys
