I just got my t56 magnum from Summit, I've switched plans and am now going with a big block, I mocked it all up in the car and with the stock oil pan laying right on the crossmember, the highest I can get the trans in the drive tunnel is with a 5' down angle before it hits. I have stock height bushings with a DSE subframe, the trans is hitting the tunnel right in front of seam where the firewall meets the floor pan. I guess I'll start cutting til I get to 3' down angle. I wasn't too impressed with American Powertrain, I called for a quote on the trans and the bellhousing and all the salesman did was try to talk me into buying a bunch of other parts I already have. He said he'd call me right back with a price but never did. You'd think in this economy they'd sell me what I want when I'm standing there with money in hand? I found the best deal @ Autoplicity.com, called Summit and they beat it. I had it in 3 days, done.
