Looking good.

I too am interested in those clamps. I'll have to google around for them I guess.

Also, which epoxy are you spraying?

oh its easy to figure out.
Adding 0 would still equal 75 time that your quarters will go off and on.

I googled for images and came to Jeff Lilly Restoration, seems they also use the same clamps, so I emailed them to see if they knew where to get them. I'll post if they reply with useful info.

I put a link up in the paint/ body thread to their website.

The epoxy? Finish 1 FP301 made by Martin Senour and sold at your local Napa.

Smile 2/16 Update

Some progress today started fitting everything to the firewall / cowl to get this thing welded .... not something to take lightly when the cowl, side cowls and the upper dash are new to the car. Paranoid? Maybe.

So I welded the driver's side bracket that holds the dash to the hinge pillar and the support I cut outa the middle (by the speaker bracket) and used clamps to hold everything. installed the brake booster, steering column, E brake and bolted the old upper dash to the dash and I have a larger gap on the driver's side dash to pillar then the passenger side .... hmmm. I even installed the kick panels to check the gap ... OCD?

That bracket gets welded to my new patch I made ... and the dash has to move towards the driver's side. Take it all apart and shorten that bracket some to let the dash come over .... that's for tomorrow thou.

Does anyone recognize this?

Getting all together!

Will have to modify this a little.

I have been busy with Stats 512 and homework and today was good to get out and work on the car ..... even if I have OCD .... I'll get her tomorrow

Thanks for looking ..

Smile Finally pulled the trigger!

The welder trigger that is .... took everything back apart and took that bracket off and put everything back together (w/ old dash top for reference) and got the gap equal on both sides ... probably better than GM did Measured a gazillions times again and got some heat on the top cowl and then took my time to get the firewall attached to the cowl, did not warp anything ... and that's a good day.

Anyway, here are some pics, I'll finish dressing the welds another day ... have some homework to do now!!

Put some heat here and did some massaginh w/ BFH.

NO MORE CLAMPS

Still straight, I'll finish the welds another day

I still have to do the side cowls, piece of cake now that I have a good reference for them that's not going to move.

Thanks for looking ...
