Default Electric oil pressure sending unit / mounting

getting ready to get the dash panel and gauges all hooked up..Is there any reason you cannot mount the electric oil pressure sending unit under the dash versus in the engine bay? I searched around and didn't see much discussion on this and was curious on opinions where to mount it....I bought the remote hose kit and didnt think about it much where to mount it till now.....

Thoughts?

The best part about electric oil pressure gauges is not having hot pressurized oil underneath your dash.
