Looks great Ed. My only constructive criticism is the upper radiator hose. I don't think it fits the car.

Doing a great job in the wiring. Looks better and will be safer.

Keep it up.
Thanks Jeff. Repainting the box was real easy. The kitchen appliance enamel I used is holding up well.

Thanks Todd. I got out voted on that one.

My wife asked me the kind of question a guy just can’t say no to! Do you wanna come home and……………… take the Camaro out?!

We were blessed with an amazing 45 degree December day. I really thought the nice weather days were gone till spring. Forecast for later in the week is in single digit lows and nothing above freezing in the foreseeable future…

When she first texted me this afternoon I was about to make a parts delivery to one of our jobsites and didn’t have anyone else to make the run. She said the car didn’t fire at first so I ran home to check it out. Really thought the cruise wasn’t gonna happen since this was the first drive since I redid the wiring and replaced the fuel line. Thankfully it fired right up for me. I watched it for a bit while it warmed up. All systems looked good so gave Beth the green light to head out while I made the delivery. When I got back to the office she stopped by to pick me and we went for a nice cruise in the country and around town. Made a couple “spirited” pulls and had a some fun as well. Definitely a great way to spend a nice afternoon with my wife!

Still have a project punch list to wrap up this winter but thankfully nothing that will stop us from driving it next year.

Here’s to a short winter! Spring can’t come soon enough!

Snapped a quick pic when she pulled up to our office.

Only better question to that would have been "Do you want to take the Camaro out… to a secluded spot high on the hill overlooking the city"

HAHAHAHAHA

This was a cool thread!! My wife wants to do a camaro like this as well!

Any updates on the car? How's it running? How's the baby (I'd imagine 2 by now right?)?

Thanks Joe! This morning I looked back through this thread. We really did a lot of work on the car I certainly learned a lot! The Camaro is running fairly good other than needing the battery replaced it fires right up and is fun to drive. It does have an exhaust leak coming from the driver side header. It stinks up the cabin with exhaust fumes so we try to drive with the windows down…. I have a new set of headers to tackle some time but it will take redoing exhaust piping so I'm holding off for now. There’s also some binding in one of the steering knuckles I need to figure out. The wheel doesn’t like to stay in the center and kind of “jumps” either left or right. No real updates to post about as of now. I still have about 10 other items on the punch list to wrap up.

Our baby (Jacob) referenced earlier in the thread is now 3 ½ and is joined by his little brother Alex who’s 3 months. Time sure flies! Jacob loves riding in the Camaro. We strap his car seat in the center of the back seat and throw on some ear protection. He says “mommy’s Camaro is really fast!”.
