I agree with Greg book at the Peppermill, Atlantis, or even the GSR. Anything downtown is terrible and no parking if you have a truck and trailer. Yeah Yeah "Trailer" is the naughty F word but you can't always pack a weeks gear and a family in the back of a 69 Camaro or a new Brizio Built 33 (ha ha we all wish we had that car). Also a cruise to SF is not a day trip. Its nearly 4.5 hours one way to SF to Reno. Cruise around Lake Tahoe great drive with great little stops.

They offer (HAN) trailer parking... it's an extra cost but not bad. The problem was (not sure if it's the same or not) that it was in a dirt lot! So if you parked and unloaded - your car was FILTHY in about 10 feet. So plan to unload somewhere else and then go park your trailer.

They have motorhome parking and hookups at The Grand Sierra... IF you can get a spot.

The Atlantis has a HUGE parking lot across the street from the hotel where all the show cars park... it's right across the street from the auction....You can walk to a Ralphs grocery store... and you can walk up to the PepperMill which is a nice stroll in the evening.

Any of you car people that have not been to Hot August Nights it is a must do. There are over 5000 cars cruising and it is all over town. I have been going every year and it is a blast. I prefer out at the Atlantis because of it's night time cruise and it is so close to the auction. It is more expensive than downtown though and rooms go quickly. The Grand Sierra Resort used to be the MGM and it is huge with probably 1500 cars in it's car parking area. I think they have several thousand rooms. Get your rooms early.

Bill,

A few questions ...
a. Where will the AutoX be held?
b. What day is AutoX?
c. Is the Autox event coordinated with HANS as part of their event? And is it open to all HANS registered attendees?

Thanks.
