The only comment I would make is, from experience, sub enclosures made from metal sound terrible, because they ring and flex too much.. Have you tried yours out to see how it sounds?
is it too late to make the box removable in case you decide you dont like the sound, or you want to change the sub etc?
The kick wells should be ok because they dont put out as much energy so can be controlled with damping material.
Amit
The sub box is made of heavy wall aluminum and is removable. Audio people often say this can't be done. We have done our re search to do this correctly there is more to it than just building an aluminum box. There are things that have to be done internally as well. We have not tried this specific box for sound but have done this before and if done correctly sounds equally as good as a MDF box and drastically drops the weight. Most importantly it keeps wood out of the car.

Thanks Troy, you're very considerate of us viewers because looking at all of those pictures just wouldn't be the same with MDF instead of aluminum.
Jeff thats hilarius! Amit I have to tell ya I can really care less how this system sounds . I told Troy to keep it as simple as possible no over the top amp rackets or any of the other BS that goes with these killer systems. This is a basic 5 channel amp system nothing crazy.

Dynamat Extreme and a top layer of 3M thinsulate will take care of that and still be a lot lighter than MDF.
