If you were to read the packaging it is recommended for most everything. I use it all the time, it is incredible stuff.

On my fiberglass hood, there was too wide of a gap to the fenders. I couldn't move the fenders in any more. So I made some aluminum backers on the bottom of my hood and ran a heavy bead along the edge of the hood. 24 hours later I peeled the backer off. I was then able to block sand the epoxy to a perfect gap with the fender. And, if I were to hit it with a hammer it will not chip off, it has become part of the hood. This stuff rocks.

I have used it on metal without fail.
