Thanks Tones....

That Sub was one of the very first few that Wayne Due built with C5 suspension... It never made it into the 69 Camaro drop top I bought it for... I gave up on the project when I realized that everybody had one... :>)

Chad (CCracin) has the Z06 motor I'd bought for the project - back when that was "the" hot motor to run. It's in his daily driver now.

I sold and delivered the sub to somebody in Northern California...

Today Pinkee's mailed me the title to the clapped out pile of rust I bought. We'll see if we can turn it into a truck.

The Roadster Shop chassis has been ordered. REVO front end.... Penske Double Adjustables all around (Stieg talked me into them)... narrowed 2" in the rear and the wheelbase altered by moving the front end forward 1" to center the front wheel in the fender opening. Ford 9" on triangulated rear - 3:70 gears - 1350 yoke... for those sideways days. LOL

Stealing (fair and square) from a friend that is building his own '40 P/U -- I want to stretch the cab 2".... and shorten the bed the same amount - keeping the fenders and running boards where they belong "stock"... Not going to chop the lid. These cabs are just too small. Dan showed me how his seat fits and actually has some angle to it rather than the pretty straight up and down the way the stock ones are... SOLD! Wow what a difference!

Rodger Lee called yesterday and we discussed motor choice. LS3 is what I'm going to use. Besides - Charley threatened me too! They just work. They're easy. They're light. They're cheap. Parts are so available. Why fight it? Maybe I'll paint it Chevy orange to further piss off the Ford crowd.

LS3 base motor (430HP?) and a 4L65/70 E --- not sure which one - most likely the 70E.... or similar -- so YES -- AUTOMATIC.

The only good Coyote is a dead Coyote.... at least that's the saying in Idaho. There will never be a GW build using that motor - for no particular reason than - I'm just never going to do it! LOL
