Ha! Damn red Camaros. I've thought more than once that if I "name" my car I will call it JARC which will stand for Just Another Red Camaro

Can't make Adams till Aug, but I'll see you out there soon!

Thanks Ron. I've been waiting a long time too, a very long time!! First half of August is packed for me but if you go in the 2nd half I hope I can join you!

Does a spin count as slideways because that did happen last night.

Engine... well lets just say Mast Motorsports and I are no longer on speaking terms. No my choice but after promising to resolve the issue they just randomly dropped off the map and don't return my phone calls. The last exchange I had with them was that while my oil pressure is lower than they typically expect in a Mast Motorsports motor it is still sufficient and to just run an oil cooler... I'm leaning towards the run it until it breaks mindset.

Bumpy road for sure. I hit a few more "bumps" last night too. I will post about my maiden voyage in a separate post.

Yeah I can't wait to hit a full road course track! Yeah Dave I can't believe I've been out of the scene for basically 3 years. Last night reminded me how much fun this stuff is!

Default Adams Motorsports Park 7/15/14

I did in fact make it out to Adams Motorsports Park last night for my maiden flogging of the V3.0 Camaro. I haven't been that nervous in years. It was awesome ha ha.

I was so focused on paying attention to what was going on and trying to get my car ready and monitoring engine vitals that I didn't take any pictures of some of the other bad ass rides out there. The Black Widow truck was there, The Tapout Nova, Don's hotrod and at least 3 other muscle cars/trucks.

I haven't run Adam's since 2010 and while the track hasn't changed they have changed the placement of the artifical chicane on the long straight. In 2010 it was placed near the middle of the straight which kept speeds lower, now it is placed 3/4 of the way down the straight so you can get a longer run at it.

My best time in 2010 under that set up was a 48.25 based on some forum posts I made back then. Last night I ran a best of 44.78. The car is completely different in every way. The handling is far far better balanced, much more HP, and better brakes. I was pleased with a 44.78 given this is the first seat time I've gotten in 3 years and first time on this track in 4 years.

I've got to run to a meeting so I will throw up the vid of my two fastest laps. Official time sheets listed them both at 44.78 though my timing equipment showed slightly different as you will see.

Will come back and finish some info about that night later.

It was great seeing the Camaro out there last night Chad! I see the dialogue is already opened up with Sal so hopefully we can go back out next Tuesday.

Thanks again for the help Jason. Also, thanks for the sweet pics! Very cool!

I don't think next Tuesday will happen given scheduling but I will be back as soon as I can.

Chad from what I've seen your 44.xx is a very good time for first time out there in the new setup. Atta boy.

Car looks and sounds great. Just beat on her til there's no oil pressure I say.

Your car is working great and it looks like you are doing a damn good job behind the wheel.

I know we spoke today--but this is a great moment and I had to say it again.

Way to persevere and stay in it to win it. Very happy for you bro!

I will plan to Adam's with you in the next couple of months for sure.

haha is that the advice your 377 received? Yeah my car is certainly sounding a wee bit better than the old zz4 motor.

Thanks Todd. It felt good to beat my old time by so much and I was seeing consistent improvement in each timed session (did 5 sessions before part failure) so I think there is a lot more left in the car on this particular track. I hope so anyways.
