I have this AN hose cutter from Summit and it works like a charm. I don't even put tape on the hose, I just cut it and install the ends.

be sure to put the aluminum cable sleeve on before you cut it.

high speed cut off wheels are what i use on throttle cable covers. AN hose gets the band saw.

Yeah, I have the same ones. I bought them a few months ago when I was doing my fuel line. They work pretty and you don't need tape, but sometimes they crush it a little and you have to reform it.

The heat from cut-off wheels is what makes it spring way out like it does. They work great for a nice clean cut that isn't deformed but you need tape and need to put the aluminum piece (or whatever you have) on before cutting it.

Sometimes I like the cutter better, sometimes I like the cut-off wheel better. I think I prefer the cut-off wheel for throttle cables. I tried the cutters on it and I had to mess around and reform my cable hose quite a bit. However; the cutter is way faster for AN hose.
