Well just made it home from a 4000 mile road trip. Yep, 4000. 2400 from Pleasanton Ca to Texas, north route, Texas to home south route. The car, well Shes hurtin for certain.

The Hooker/Holley LS i installed after SEMA last year is a complete bust. The headers were so low, we found cracks in the tubes (In Texas of course) and it ran full rich the whole way home. Not knowing this was the problem, we ran outa gas in the middle of nowhere in north west texas (at mile 260 and was getting up to 400 per tank). Had the complete good fortune of an empty flat bed come by and towed us to Amarillo. Thank goodness it was only a gas issue. My MPG went from 23 to 16. And thats a longass drive.

Gonna do a write up on the trip like i did last year. It will be in open discussion, but I wont mention Charlie, hes a handful.

Great people, great driving great time. Shi__ty weather. Two friggen hurricanes. one in Utah (roof caved in across from where we were stayin) and comeing into Fort Worth. Rained each day. But the show was better than last year.

More to follow, but i've been away for 11 daze and time to spend some time with my lovely of 28 years.

Wish I could have come up from Austin to meet up with you. Glad you made it to and from safely. Looking forward to reading all the details.

FYI - I haven't finished my install but so far I really like the fitment of my SW headers. I'll know more in a couple weeks when the install is complete and will certainly post more pics in case you are considering them.

They are sorta training wheels for headers, ha ha. Mike keeps tearing them off, so I got him a set that won't hang so low

Can't leave "well enough" alone. Well, it wasn't enough.
After talking to a few different people, I decided to take it to CustomWorksPerformance in Chico. Keith has done me right in the past, and i'm confident he'll do the same this time. He could work with my schedule and do some other things to it as well....

DSE rear. Mini tubs. Forgelines. New Exhaust. and a couple of other goodies....Wegner Motorsports accessories kit, and too come Texas Speed and Performance heads and cam.

Here are some high quality pics

And i'm thinking about a beige interior, though that may just wait...
Once Keith sends me more pics i'll post those up as well....

Those changes are going to be killer. Looks like good choices on all the parts. Can't wait to see the "finished" product
