That's great to hear Trey. I am cautious in the area of engine parts for sale on there. Someone's depiction of "new" and my depiction of "new" can at times have a variance, if you know what I mean. You got yourself a great deal there, for sure. I'll tell some race buddies of mine about your block. What kind of shape is it in? Standard bore, etc?

I need to measure the bore and see if it is indeed standard as he claimed. He said he got it out of a 2500 chevy. So far, that checks out based on the stamping number. The block is cleaned but has some minor rusting. Nothing the rebuild won't take care of. He also said it was magnafluxed and checked out fine too. I'll get some pictures and double check the bore size soon.
I'm happy I got the crank and rods. Now, I just need to find pistons but I'm doubting I'll find what I need. You're right though, CL can be weird. The seller told me he had brand new Edelbrock heads as well that would fit LT1s, L98s, and Vortec 350s. I didn't bother to correct him. Buyer beware and always do your homework before buying off CL.

What are you looking for, piston wise? I have a couple sets in the shop.

Piston wise, I'm not sure honestly. Obviously, I need pistons that will work with a stroker crank and 5.7 rods. I'm just not sure what valve relief I need since I haven't even talked with a machine shop or Advanced Induction about heads yet. Ai has some piston info on their website but I want specifics and I'm no where near that point yet.
The block is 4.030 bore so it has been bored out. Casting number is 14093638. I figure I'll just ask $150 for the block if that's not unreasonable. I'll stand behind it too if it turns out to be no good. I haven't found anything that tells me it is not good.
Thanks Scott
