Thanks Scott. Just trying to think like you fabricators do, but that's a much easier way to do it. Nice solution.

Wayne,Your Idea was my first Idea. Then I slept on it and came up w/Plan-B !!!!!! And Plan-B was more work for me,but less work for Michael. And going the extra mile for a customer is alway's the best route !!!!!!!! (Sometime's)

From the work I've seen from you it doesn't surprise me at all.

Cool Update 12/5

A good day in the garage, it was in the 50's and I had to get something done on the Camaro .... so I finished removal of the spring perches, mocked up the RT weld-on lower brackets, fabbed some 3/16 strap to simulate the shock height at 14.5", and fitted Scott's fix to my tranny mount issue.

Need to recheck the angle of the lower brackets and the side2side center and tack the brackets and tack the tranny adapter in place ... then take it to work and use the BIG welder again.

Got the perch off and ..... YES that is BONDO! WTF?

Mock straps and set width.

Ride Tech setup is sweet!

Clamped on Scott's adapter to the crossbrace.

View from bottom ... Scott's welds are beautiful!

That's why I went w weld on brackets .... an extra inch per side!

Was gonna get the subframe connectors in, but a slight engineering fault (my bad) ... the side plates I welded on are too long and I can't get the connector up in the car and slide past the cross member brace. So I have to pull the front end out and then put the connectors in and then slide the subframe back and line it up w the connectors .....

Thanks for looking ....

Don't ya just love hot rodding!! LOL

Looks good!!

When I'm doing this kind of stuff -- I make "lists".... and then I just cross 'em off as I get 'er done... It's less daunting when you see the list of stuff being crossed off.

the bolt on axle bracket has also been moved over that extra inch also...I was just mentioning it so if someone wants the bolt on kit they wont think there sacrificing any clearance...sorry for the thread jack

Thanks Greg ... if I started a list the light at the end of the tunnel would extinguish!!!

Rod, no jack at all, I encourage comments! If you look at post #761 with the bolt on brackets, there is no other way the lower bars can get mounted, they have to be inline w the perches, yes? Unless I'm really messed up how can you gain extra clearance when the perches are 42" c2c?

Anyway, thanks for looking .....
