Why not 9s on the front? They tuck easily enough, and the extra tread width...

Actually they do not tuck easy with 18x9's. We attemped to fit one in, but it would drastically limit turning radius and suspension travel with the ride height we're at. Going to have to make new inner fenders as-is.
These trucks are very narrow too, so a wide front rubber isn't all that necessary. The rear is 60" sidewall to sidewall; a 70 Chevelle is 72"! Pretty crazy.
