Thanks for looking guys. The Heidt's install was actually pretty easy. The only real issue we encountered was with the front "V" shaped brace for the IRS differential. The one originally sent just wouldn't fit btwn the framerails on this car. Fortunately, it was an easy fix.
As for the DSE front install....well, like everything I've used from DSE over the years, it went awesome. The whole front suspension is incredibly well engineered in my opinion.
I actually assisted the owner with the suspension installs in his garage. (He really wanted to be a part of that portion of the build.) Because the parts are well built, it went very smoothly. Unfortunately, I don't have a ton of pics of the initial install. But, don't fret. I am nearly finished spraying Lizard Skin and paint on both the bottom of the car and the engine bay. So, I'll have some pics of the final suspension install early next week.
Thanks again for looking and stay tuned for more updates.
As I mentioned in the previous post, once the car was media blasted and epoxy-ed, we proceeded to install the Heidt's IRS and the DSE front....oh, and that sweet Coyote 5.0L.
Once the installs were complete, we proceeded to set the ride height and alignment. Again, the goal is to retain a fairly stock appearance. So, this step was important to make sure we could fit those big rollers without any clearance issues. So, we set to small body "tweaks" to fit the 295/40-18s in the back and 265/35-18s on the front.
Here's some pics of that initial processs; and the car on it's way to the alignment shop.
