Thanks for sharing Cris.

The Trans Am is not bad.. we got the front working pretty good.. just ran out of time to get the rear dialed in.. JJ from JRI/Ultimate Performance is building some custom shocks for the rear... What we learned from Blu Balz & Jake Rozelle's Camaro.. We now dial in a DSE car pretty quick..

Default Speed limit racing

Chris,
I will keep an eye out on your site
The Firebird has been on the back burner for many
years.. damn Pantera was taking up too much of my time
I am now focused on the bird and getting it dialed in
I ran for many years when Brian was a kid, along with
his dad, Frank and Maier's father in law who was my rival
in ESP in Norcal.. still the same old car and old driver with some
new things added

Thanks for the the info.. cool place to run the cars

Bob

It got started when I needed a place to tune Blu Balz.. It is how I meet Casey Cronin & Darren Friedman (Polished Kirkham Cobra).. Camarillo Airport granted JCG a permit to test & tune on the abandoned airway so I a few people would come in & run with me while I was dialing in Blu.. with the opportunity to run in Camarillo Darren saw that we could run small events close to us with a great location.. So he launched Speedlimit Racing in a formal format that had all the requirements for an Autocross event.. I did not have the time to commit to running an event but stay somewhat active in the events.. Casey sets up the courses & is the enforcer of the small list of rules we have..

Darren runs a very well organized event that get people plenty of run time by limiting it to 30 people per day.. We pretty much have an event once a month & now are looking at having some driving school with tuning days thru out the week but do not have a full commitment to it yet.. We are just blessed with a great central location with great weather..

Basic format for Speedlimit Racing is Autocross! no classes, no competion, recorded times @ the end of the day, plenty of time make adjustments between sessions, fast technical tracks, great grip on new sealed surface, You can run full aero packages on your car .. Wings are encouraged to match the planes that are landing over us while driving!

If you want to attend.. you must register on line! We sell out quick & people wait till the last minute thinking we will have spots to run & will squeeze them in..

This past weekend I coordinated a Test n Tune on Friday with some of my buddies & that is how we got some of the fast people in one place.. Then we ran in the event on Saturday & Sunday!

So sum day when you get your car completed.. It would be great for you to come run with us..
