That is quite common. You either have to add material to the quarter or the door.

There are a lot of detailed threads on this over at Camaros.net where guys can really get obsessive about their gaps and panel fit.

I think you are on the right track. Where is the front edge of the door relative to the front edge of the rocker?

^^^^^^^^ What he said. You need to make sure you fenders are going to fit right. You may have already look at it, but I'd hate for you to go to all of the work that you are and find out that the door just needed to be adjusted back.

front door edge is lined up with the rocker edge , the whole car seems way out any ideas on the lower door edge , the hinges have no more play, I have sloted them to get the doors were they are now.
