Either way -- I'd be at the track all day on Friday.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you Greg!

I'm hoping -- but right now it's not looking real good. I don't have chains for the rig -- and have "steer" tires on the drivers.... so they have zero traction...

I'm just not going to risk getting caught in the mountains with something that's not equipped for snow of any kind. That would just flat be negligent on my part.

This is one of the reasons I'm toying with a doing a California shop location.... Since I live in the mountains -- and have to drive over them to get to where I use the car! It's a PITA.

In an heroic effort to make this event -- I've switched plans and I'm driving down via Las Vegas and back up to Carmel..... so leaving a day early (in a couple hours) and heading out. I really don't want to miss this epic track day.

Atta boy! I was actually googling your area thinking if you head far enough south you'll be fine......come to think of it, we hit snow in the high desert south of Wells coming home from SEMA a few years ago. Good luck, maybe pack the AEV snowmobile just in case!

You are the man! That is a heroic effort. I've got no excuse to finish up my own preparations for Friday lol! I can't wait!

No brainer. What's another of PTO when you've accrued as much as you have?

I just read something about Thunderhill. They're looking into building high bay shops on either side of the entrance to the facility.....might be something worth looking into.

I'm 200 miles out! Sitting at the intersection of CA-46 and I-5..... Now.... for those of you keeping track - It's our 36th Anniversary today. How many wives would spend their 36th anniversary in a semi - parked in a parking lot on their way to spend Thanksgiving, eating dinner in a restaurant... so their idiot dumber half's can track their cars?

I used to live in Alameda... and Reno was part of my territory. I was in my '64 Dodge Polara 500 with it's transplanted 440 and a 4 speed - on street tires -- and was the last car allowed thru before they closed I-80..... it took me 4 hours to drive 50 miles. I made it without any help -- but the only way I could tell there was even a road there was the reflectors marking the guardrails for the snowplows. Lucky for me - there was not a single car coming the other way - so I could take my half out of the middle!

I was working with RAY on renting a shop there when I was there in October. So thinking about it for sure.
