Sorry, not really a mystery. I build jet boats for a living, even put an LS, LQ, LM in a few. I use the fab skills I see here to inspire some of my builds.

Big fan of Camaro's, ever since my Uncle rolled up in a 1978 Gen II when I was a kid. Of course I thought it was a Trans Am (Knight Rider and Smokey and the Bandit were on TV in that era), which my uncle quickly corrected.

Enough hi-jacking, I read the post and couldn't resist the reply.
Post some pictures of your work on here some where. I gave been thinking about building a crazy jet boat myself

The progress has continued on the 67 Camaro at a pretty fast pace.

We have everything mounted under the dash. The Large Lt4 ECU, the EPS controller, the Raingear wiper system, the Vintage Air Gen4 unit, the Tilton pedal assembly with Throttle pedal and the EPS equipped steering Column. We had to recess the firewall in the middle to allow access to some connection on the back side of the engine and not have to move the engine forward. Things are very tight under the hood and under the dash.

The engine compartment is also pretty tight. The large wheel tubs pretty much kill any room around the wheels with the 19x11 Forgeline wheels. We also made an intercooler tank shaped to the curve of the inner fender to increase capacity as much as possible. The shocks on the Ring brother hood hinges needed to be relocated to the firewall down bars as they no longer cleared the wheel tubs.

We modified the under structure of the hood for the vents and the aero latches.

We also installed the Speedtech torque arm mount into the unibody of the car. We had to remove the seat spot welds and set the outside of the top of the floor to attach to the subframe connectors under the floor. Works out pretty slick.

We are just about ready to start body work on the car and get ready put this monster together for some summer time cruising.

That is taking shape really well, excellent workmanship and your planning is obvious. Well done. What EPS unit are you using?
