I was talking to my wife about this tonight and she informed me that her cousin has a cancerous brain tumor. Guy is only 29. Cancer sucks.

Awesome read Greg. Its hard not to get emotional reading this and although we don't talk on a regular basis other than SEMA and on the board, it feels like one of my closest friends has gone through hell and beat all the odds. Keep hanging on to that tiger by the tail and never let go.

Greg, the reporter in the news story said the oil doesn't produce a high. You report it does, what does it depend on regarding whether you feel high or not?
Not trying to be funny, but I'm wondering if small doses as a preventative measure would be a good idea.

Found this story that's pretty interesting, although I know nothing about the source that posted it:

OKAY!!! NOW WE'RE BACK ON TRACK.......

Sorry guys -- but I wanted the thread to be MEDICAL -- and not really about "ME" -- even thought I truly appreciate everyones kind words!

CBD oil without any THC (you can buy it with many different levels or zero!) - will not produce any high whatsoever... Use it all you want. There's so many kinds out there - watch for where you buy and how you intend to use it! Gwen just got some CBD oil BALM for her KNEES -- applied it once -- said tonight at dinner she hadn't had pain from her knee all day.

THC or AKA: RICK SIMPSON OIL -- This stuff gets ya high buddy! I'm here to tell you that your first dose of ONE HALF THE SIZE OF A GRAIN OF WHITE RICE will put you on the floor! Thus the "working up to" the full dose of 1 gram per day for the 60 days. I worked up to taking 1.5 grams per day!! And at the END of the course I got very LITTLE high from it. More like having a couple of beers.
But working up to --- and maybe like MOST OF THE TIME I was taking the combo THC/CBD oil ---- I was STONED IMMACULATE! WASTED. Do not drive - Do not attempt to pay bills - don't do anything but stay home - Get rest - and have someone take care of you.

Not sure if it's just me but this made me laugh especially the "Don not attempt to pay bills" comment.

Serious Question now, I know you said during treatment to get some rest is that because you are so wiped out or they want you to rest during treatment ?

The first part is more about FUNCTION of the thread. I don't want the critical medical info to become lost amoungst all the well wishes.

"The REST" statement comes from #1 That's what's your body is telling you to do. Best to listen. #2 The THC comes from the INDICA plant. You can remember "INDICA" because it stands for In Da Couch..... Cause that's where it's going to put you.

I went and visited GW a week or two before he was done with the multiple daily doses and got to see things first hand....It was life as normal other than the driving and major decision making, not wacked out of his mind (from my perspective) but also not quite 100%. I do remember being in town at the Road Ralley and him grabbing my arm saying "oh boy, it's kickin in!" Again, totally functional and able to carry on like normal but also having a bit of the "to the moon!" feeling.

The big thing I noticed is the amount of support he has there....you've gotta have support! His friends in town and family weren't babysitting but definitely were looking out for him...just making sure he's good every step of the way. I personally think this is huge! Going through this process isn't easy....Greg's lucky to be a decent enough person to have a TON of support, not just here on the forum but family and local friends.

****s working and he's doing well, what more could you ask for daily? I'm looking into the CBD for certain issues I've got, nothing life threatening but with the reading I've done it's almost like a daily vitamin. Take the time and research the product, it's not a bad thing!

sorry to say i had never read this, i lost some close family to Cancer that was my reason to not click on it. After reading some comments here and there on other posts recently i chose to read it to see what it was about.

NOW I find it was about your personal journey, I was

You always have a kind word and a comment or suggestion for my project. Here you are in "Life" and all I can say in return is "Greg, you got this", you dont need me to say that, but wanted you to know you are in my thoughts.

This is a very inspiring thread BTW, watched too many people in my life just "give up"

Best of wishes to you! With any luck I will bump into you at SEMA 2016 and I can thank you for your contributions in person.

Thank you!

One of my pet peeves was always that "others" didn't partake in "doing" -- many choose to let others "do". That's never been our style. If you belong to a club - go to the meetings - attend the events - volunteer to work a few hours at the event rather than letting someone else to ALL the work.... When I was on the Board of Seattle Yacht Club -- we used to thank all the members for paying their dues so the rest of us could have a great club. While meant to be funny.... it was true that of 2500 members -- only maybe 500 where truly "active". Great base of members supporting the rest of us that were having all the fun.

In other words...... GIVE BACK SOME -- or PAY SOME FORWARD... it's truly more rewarding in the long run.

My "condition" reminds me of a great line ---- I just dropped, in to see what condition my condition was in......

I've said it 10 zillion times ---- Cancer is kind of like a cold - you just never know where or who it came from. I'm 63 years old - lived a good life..... I feel SORRY for those such as you mention here - 29 years old!! WTF Alex is only 29 - they haven't lived at all yet! That's wrong and it's why we need to fix this.
