Yea I'm trying to keep this thread updated but Instagram makes it tough since it's so easy to make a single picture post several times. And easy to do on the fly.

My plan is to make everything local and semi-local like that. So yes. Biggest goal is power tour.

Got the car on some scales today. Pretty happy as it's later than I was expecting.

Well got out there and did a little work this weekend (finally).

Removed the exhaust and driveshaft to get it shortened and change the trans seal. Seal looked to be good (prior to pulling) but I replaced with the metal housed seal. Wiped down the underside of the car and cleaned all the fluid off the downpipes, the removed section and the driveshaft.

After that I moved to changing the first round of oil in the LSX427. It has about 150-200mi on it. Sending samples of fresh Joe Gibbs BR5W50 and the used oil to Blackstone Labs for testing. Had some initial concerns when I drained the catch can...

I was assured by the catch can manufacturer (Mighty Mouse - David Childress) that the oil seen is "Normal" for what i'd be seeing. Confirmed that with other friends as well.

Moved onto draining the pan and pulling the filter apart.

Oil has some "copper glitter" in it i'm told is to be expected with new builds. Been a while so have some concerns but not putting too much thought into it right now.
Filter element had a little white metal in it, nothing significant.

Biggest concern I had was I have some flakes that are non-metallic and appear to be coating or maybe gasket material in the oil. Several pieces like this.

They're flexible and very thin.

I'm 99% sure it'll be fine, engine made no noises, had great oil pressure. I'm going to change the oil frequently the next few times (one more of breakin then will move to oil i plan to continue running). I'll be changing oil at ~500mi for the next several changes. May start gradually stepping it up after that.

I also started installing the door glass but didn't make it far before calling it quits this weekend. Maybe more on that this week.

Aside from that, Friday I went back to the shop that did my turbo kit (M2K Motorsports) to watch a friends Trans Am get some WOT tuning. I'd say he's pretty happy with his 400in LSX with a F1X procharger. Numbers are boost only, and he has nitrous standing by for future tuning/use.
