Sometimes overseas buyers have a shipping "aggregator" you ship to that's here.... and once he gets enough stuff - then he figures out the shipping.

Just don't let them try to talk you into declaring a lower value etc --- then you're messing with the feds.

Exactly what one of them has asked, to avoid some of the duty taxes I imagine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not familiar with PayPal and wasn't sure if it was a secure way of doing things.

Aus duty taxes are a killer, 10% on purchase price I believe, I'm not surprised they tried.

And PayPal is one of the most secure ways for both parties, they even get buyer protection, just ensure they pay the 3% fee

"They" may or may not be trying to avoid paying duties.... It's more likely they are buying enough goods that they can combine all these parts and pieces and perhaps have also purchased a car. That way they can combine all the stuff in one shipping container and that is the way they're trying to save. On the shipping costs.

When I was an importer in NYC -- we had a full time employee in England and his job was to aggregate all the products we ordered in to a single container - and filed all the paperwork and had quality control duties etc. At the time we imported a container a week.... It wasn't about trying to avoid the duties as those were based on the individual invoices from each factory.

PayPal is a great way to do business both for buyers and sellers.
