I am new to this also,just bought a new LS9 and have not picked it up yet but curious about the dry sump and was wandering if it was the same as an LS7 and was looking at the Peterson 10qt tank, thanks for any hellp also.

The LS9 uses a wider pressure stage gear in the pump to add more volume for the piston oilers.
