Love the framing stage!! That is when the first part of the vision becomes real. Looks great so far.

2x6 everywhere it looks like?
It's a blast. 2x6 on all exterior walls plus any load bearing inside the structure.

I'm still pinching myself in disbelief that I get to call the place home. Framing moves quick and you can really start to get a feel for how the house will live and feel. So far I'm very pleased.

Framing looks good Todd, What kind of insulation are you using batt insulation ? Do they use foam around your area?

Thanks, Wayne. I'm using a radiant barrier sheathing and I'm thinking blown in cellulose in the walls and attic in the house and batt in the garage. I still need to nail it down 100%. I don't like the spray foam due to chemicals and cost.

Agree there’s too many horror stories about it. I’m looking at blow cellulose in my garage.

Thankfully most people don’t seem to be adversely affected by spray foam insulation.

But 4 years later and I’m still suffering side effects from it.

Yep, I'm not taking any chances.
