Okay, I'll ask. How jealous do y'all think Ron Sutton is right now as he lurks in this thread and sees the car getting its due diligence and what it rightfully deserves? This car is super nice right now and I'm sure he feels like this.... or this or this . I mean, I just saying.
That fool will say "well we didnt have time to fix everything"

Agreed. Ron mentioned the “timeline” more than once, and referred to it when called out on the mess he made. As a business owner myself, if I can’t make a deadline, I walk away up front. Not gonna risk my reputation for an extra dollar. Reputation is everything in any business. Mark it up with too much negativity and you have no business. Simple concept really...
Well — Jimi Day graciously allowed us to put the car on track at the end of their event today at USCA Las Vegas.....
This was not an effort to make lap times - it was just a lucky “get a couple laps” to see if the cooling system changes “work” (the same exact C&R radiator that Sutton blamed for the cooling issues) — and oiling system (same exact A.R.E dry sump but with the proper sized tank - and plumbed CORRECTLY) would work etc.....
So Speedtech (Jay Weir) took it out for 4 laps — a couple laps to warm up - get some heat in the tires - and let Jay actually drive a car he’s only just sat in....
3rd lap he did a 1:48 — only posting that because people will ask.
The shocks (JRi’s) will now come off and be shipeed to JJ Furillo for the very last undoing of the Ron Sutton sour sauce to be removed....

Greg, it didn't even puke all over the track either while being tried and tested. Hmmmmm! I wonder what the difference is between the before....Sutton built and the after...Speedtech built. Can't quite place my finger on it, but something's surely different about the car.
I think we got some good Vbox video we will get sorted out and posted ASAP.
also some good quality camera video from on top of the trailer, that we will post hang tight
The car did Exactly what it was supposed to. the tire break in procedure is a bit involved to get them right. 5 extra PSI moderate warm up lap with 10 second a lap decreases in lap time. so between that and Jay not ever driving the car on track previous, it was good temp stayed at 205 oil pressure was good. the Autometer dash needs some programming for sure.
It sure sounds good coming down the front straight rowing gears and the instant gear change............ is probably worth the price of admission!!
Talked to JJ and we will send him the shocks this week to dyno so we have a good idea of where we are. do some set up with shocks and springs and try it again.
We may look at some vents in the fenders behind the front tires to try and pull more heat out of the engine bay, we did not have the full belly pan on the car as it needed to be redone
