Yeah, I've got some but they won't post. I tried doing it thru YouTube but I'll have to bust out the laptop when I get time. It's going to Indy to get tuned on May 4th so I'll try to capture some video on the chassis dyno with my GoPro...my iPhone sound just cuts out instantaneously the second you hit the gas. I guess the speaker gets overloaded. I'm really happy with the Borla mufflers and glad I went 3" all the way.

Ok, so got my magnetic numbers in for the car. Wanted magnets b/c I'm not sure I'd wanna leave them on consistently. I love the look of the "race dress" but I also like the subtle, clean look. I went with silver as I thought it'd complement the car nicely and got some extra numbers in the event someone else is already running my first combo.

For the next topic of discussion, I'd like to hear some feedback from the audience. My plan is to add some vinyl contingency decals to the car in black or silver. I'm personally kinda leaning towards the black vinyl as it goes with the whole subtle theme. The stripe on the car is black and I like the fact that only people looking closely ever see it. Having seen the silver numbers on the car, I'm also now thinking of going with that color. The decals will be tasteful, not over-done and all one solid color but I'm curious what you guys think...let me know.

A buddy of mine has a computer program that he can add the decals to an uploaded pic of the car to help me see it before-hand so we'll see what it looks like either way. Thanks for the input!

Just a thought, contingency decals are meant for advertising purposes. If you can barely see them, how will the paying sponsor feel about that? I am all about subtle and like the black idea, but the silver does look nice. Would you like to split the difference and maybe a charcoal that is slightly more visible?

Duly noted on the black. I'm not so worried about paid sponsorships as they're likely not to happen anyway. I've considered the charcoal color as well. We'll see, I go back and forth on the whole idea anyway. Thanks!

If you look at Lance Hamilton's Monte Carlo "Barney", the orangish decals really complement the car color while getting his point across. Would do the same for yours, I think, in either black or charcoal.

Rixtrix1, thanks for the input. I checked out Lance's ride and the orange really pops...such a nice ride. Part of me loves the race decor b/c I've always had a thing for the original Trans-Am cars with the meatball numbers and regalia and yet the other side likes the subtleness and understated "factory" appearance (as far as paint). I just need to find the balance!

Got the car tuned this week. I knew it ran rich but was smooth and strong. Ended up picking up another 80 rear wheel HP and I must say, Holy Crap! It's like another car. That thing pulls like a freight train

At the end of the day, I'm at 452hp and 426lb ft of torque at the rear wheels. Not the most powerful thing out there but definitely strong enough to cause trouble! I tried uploading video but no bueno...

Along this same vein, and as stated in other posts about contingency and "sponsors", sometimes one just wants to give a shout out to those companies whose products have worked for them. I'm sure if a sponsor wanted a specific logo on a vehicle, there might be some kind of contractual agreement in place.
Just some thoughts off the top of my head as I'm definitely not in a position to know, and doubt if my never finished Malibu will ever be worthy of such consideration. I've never attempted to talk to anyone with company decals on their car about it ( like the big QA1 decals on the back of Mills Robinson's Camaro) as I feel it's between them and the company. I try to concentrate on the build and how things were done on the cars.
