Marty,

You are making excellent progress.

We should talk about doing the first engine start before you get the front sheetmetal on the car. If there are any issues, it will be a lot easier to get to things should we need to address something. Also, love your little garage helper :-)

Andrew

I agree 100 %.

Jason from Showtime will be at my house in a couple weeks running the fuel lines, brake lines, coolant overflow lines and some other cool stuff so the fender are definitely staying off the car. However the Inner fenders will be on and off while he is working on the car.

Default Wilson Muscle Car Billet Battery Tray ( 06-09-20 )

Since the goal is to keep everything as accessible as possible the battery is staying up front in the stock location. However that doesn't mean the battery tray has to be stock. Ron at Wilson Muscle Car & I designed the tray to work in the factory locations.

While I am here I am looking at option for the Vintage Air heater hoses. Should I go under or just route them above and gently lay them on the Anvil Carbon Inner Fenders.

I also need to figure out a way to help support the tray as the foot rest under the battery tray doesn't offer much support as steel inner fenders would.

Not sure I like this idea as it looks like it belongs on an off-road vehicle.

Default Committing to the new brake line routing. (( 07-12-20 ))

It took a little bit and I am finally happy with the location of the brake lines. So here goes nothing and if these don't work I am going to cry.

Step One remove the inner fenders...again (really I am getting good at this)

Step two remove the DSE Brake Booster (what an awesome piece) and slowly but surely loosen the nuts.

Eak !!!

Tap the hole.

and install the ARP hardware from Totally Stainless.

This car has had more facelifts than Cher!

Not that there’s anything wrong with that...

Default Inner Fenders Back on (( 07-12-20 ))

Once again the inner fenders are going back on.

I am looking for area's that need to be trimmed for better clearance

Yet another while I am here moment. These two relays are for the Vintage air and before they were sitting on the top of
the unit. By mounting them I will be able to access them if there is ever an issue.

So I glued in a couple more Weld-Studs as this will be their new home.

Next up is finding a replacement for the fitting on the compressor.

So it's off to Midwest Hot Rods to see what they have in stock
