Unless you are a car building superstar building a six figure car you are not likely to get many comments on this site, especially if you ask for no comments imho. I think you may be overthinking this....

I say just post a build thread in the main section and explain what you are doing. This site is full of really good car people and bad behavior is not tolerated by most. I'll have your back as well should anyone get out of line.
