Default Bonneville History

A while back I found myself in a wrecking yard in the Mohave desert (long story). The owner showed me an old Studebaker salt flat car stuffed in a dark corner. It still had the blown hemi and a C3 Corvette-style front end. There was a plaque on the dash showing the car had gone 270-something in 1976. After some research, I came up with a photo of the car back in the day. It went 271+ on a two-way pass and almost 290 on a one-way pass at Bonneville driven by Neil Thompson, who passed away in 2012. Big balls!
