What's the purpose of the soak and idle? I've never heard of this before.
I read it in the erod LT4 manual. It is not very clear, but seems that they want the battery hooked up to the ecu for at least 8 hours without turning the ignition on. From the little info I could find it sounds like it gives the ecu time to do diagnostics.
