Can you share another photo of this? I have a 69 I am planning a box for now and would like to know what subs you went with and how much space you had (depth) in the box behind the seat.

Thanks and beautiful build!!!

William

Other than the subs installed it still looks the same. I am waiting on my upholstery guy to give me a call to take the truck up to finish, hopefully in the next week or two. The 10" sub's are made by Audison. As are my mid's, tweeters and amp/dsp. I just roughly used the dimensions of the stock fuel tank as a guide for the outside measurements and then used Audison's specs for the sub's idea volume to create each box.

Undestood and thank you for the quick response. Trying to decide if i do a single center mounted sub or this setup with subs on either Side. I think this looks VERY good.

Thank you. My vision for this build was to have the latest tech, engine, drivetrain, suspension and creature comforts, but not lose the look and charm of the original truck. Of course this is always a compromise and is different for each of our own tastes. With the sound system I tried to create the "center stage" with the tweeter and mid speaker placement. The compromise was I used the stock radio as the head unit. It has been reworked with all new internals and has preouts, bluetooth, USB etc. I have tried it and it sounds pretty good. It will get better once the dsp has been tuned.

Yea my struggle with radio is the previous owner cut mine for single DIN. dont love it, but it's in place.

If i go to replace that it's a spiral of how far do i want to take it? Buy a double din insert and put a screen in which is probably what i would WANT to do, but it doesn't fit well with the factory center AC positon. Vertical space runs out quick. So many options to look at, and trying to choose what's "best."
