Good to know, that's the kinda input I'm lookin for.

Do the mirrors stay put once they're set?? Can ya see well movin down the road?

Yes, they do stay put. i'm not impressed with the quality of the passenger side glass, everything looks a little over magnified and distorted but, it works. Thinking of going back with the original glass on that side.

So for $279 plus shipping I can get a pair of mirrors to modify and I'll only use the drivers sid and oh ya, it might take 6 months or more to get............ I'm in!!

I ended up copying Stielow's design for my "1st gen" Anvil mirrors and turned out great:

b/c I had the mirror/glass that fit already but not the 2nd gen mirror components I ended up getting these mirrors just for the backing and ball joint:

then I used scrap aluminum to make the bracket and base plate and epoxied the glass and aluminum base plate.
