Default removable exhaust section/3 piece crossmember

I need to have access to my trans. Currently the crossmember and x pipe are in the way to easily "drop" the trans. Anyone running a 3 piece crossmember and/or removable section of the exhaust (x-pipe) on a 68-72 GM A body to allow this?

I used Dr Gas ball cone collectors to build a drop out center like you are takling about once. Two sets gets expensive but it looked clean didn't leak and did not loose any performance.
