There's no "shortage" of people that want to go --- there's a shortage of qualified big rig drivers...

Greg, is your rig under the 65' limit ... meaning as a motorhome, anyone with a regular license can drive it? ... or is it over 65' total length?

I could sleep on the floor right down the middle with the door open for my big feet.

Watkins Glen is my favorite track. The Nascar race there yesterday was awesome.

Ron -- It's just 65'.... and "just anyone can drive it" is a true statement as far as the law goes --- but as you know -- there's more to driving one of these than just having a drivers license. It's pretty big -- pretty long -- and takes some knowledge to manuver around corners and city streets.... and on and on. It's also 50,000 #'s.... and going up hills is easy - since you can't really go very fast -- but coming down.... you'd best have some knowledge!

I've always wondered why you didn't so that event. It's a lot of fun.

Yup Yup! I understand & agree completely.

One of my race rigs was a motorcoach & stacker trailer ... just under 65' ... and I was very picky on who we let drive, because regardless of "what's legal" ... it's still big, challenging to drive & a lot at risk.

I was just curious on the length of yours, as it looks like you were right around 65'. I've had & seen non-CDL drivers pulled over ... and if the overall rig is too long ... the Highway Patrol can make the driver choose between staying there until a CDL driver can arrive to drive it away ... or unhooking from the trailer leave it behind.

This happened to us once on a trip to Las Vegas when we had a longer trailer on ... making the overall length over 65' ... and my chosen non-cdl driver to wasn't legal to drive it.
